Three Important Things about Protecting yourself with Insurance

Looking to protect yourself with Insurance? This is Chad McMahon from protect with insurance, and I’ll do my very best to help you out with that.

So the first three things you need to know about protecting yourself with insurance is one, definitely most important is to partner with someone that you trust, partner with an agent that has great access, partner with an agent that’s going to get you a great deal on insurance and the way that you accomplished that is not by accessing one company or two companies or three companies.

You need an agent that’s going to have access to as many as rated, the highest rating possible life insurance companies possible and that way; they can run them through the machine for you, they can find the best price possible in a program that’s going to offer everything that you will need.

The second thing you need to know is what are you hoping to accomplish, so have a clear sense of do you want to have a $5,000, $10,000, $20,000 policy, and do you want to have a larger policy such as $100,000, $200,000, 400,000 million-dollar policy? And why? The why part of that is really crucial because if it’s something that’s going to, let’s say, pay off the mortgage if you’re to pass away, then it’s apparent what you’re going to need on that if it’s to cover something like burial, then you can run it by the agent.

The agent can say that you don’t need a twenty-five thousand dollar policy and that you only need a seventeen thousand policy or it’s for cremation. Your agent can say we don’t need a twenty thousand or fifteen thousand dollar policy that we only need about a seven thousand dollar policy or a five thousand dollar policy, so make sure that you’re really clear on what and why.

The last thing is kind of have an understanding of what’s realistic, and what I mean by that is if you have some major health issues, you’re not going to be able to get a large coverage policy, that is, full coverage, for example, a $500,000 term policy which is a full coverage payout policy that’s not realistic for someone that has congestive heart failure, dependent upon a wheelchair, using breathing oxygen during the day, CPAP is different, that’s fine.

There are a whole slew of other issues that will make it so that you cannot qualify for this large term policies and whereas, whole life policies are a lot more forgiving and a lot more flexible when it comes to health issues, so have a realistic sense of that and if you’re not sure if you’re going to qualify, just let your agent know what it is that you hope to accomplish and then they will lay it out for you as far as what you can qualify for and what it costs, so I hope this has been helpful?
